Produce Department Supervisor

Freshco is seeking a highly skilled Produce Department Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our produce department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and develop a team of produce staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance expectations.
- Assign Sales Tasks: Effectively allocate sales responsibilities to team members to maximize sales potential and meet customer needs.
- Hire and Develop Talent: Recruit, train, and develop produce staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
- Prepare Sales Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Resolve Customer Issues: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and rotation of produce inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a produce department or related field
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong problem-solving skills
Freshco is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional heavy lifting and bending.
