We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk IV to join our team at PHSA. As an Accounts Payable Clerk IV, you will be responsible for preparing invoices for payment, reviewing vendor invoices and purchase orders for accuracy, and ensuring that all payments are made in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare invoices for payment by reviewing vendor invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify that all payments are made in a timely and efficient manner, and that all invoices are properly coded and approved.
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments.
- Perform reconciliations and follow up on any outstanding invoices or payments.
- Assist with the preparation of period-end and year-end accruals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounts Payable function.
- Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized accounting course and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to keyboard 45 wpm.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
