Job Summary

Verve Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Services Officer to join our team. As a key member of our corporate services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and adhere to continuous quality improvement standards.
  • Monitor all maintenance contracts and warranties in cooperation with and under the supervision of the Building Services Manager.
  • Inspect resident suites upon resident turnover, and ensure suites are move-in ready for prospective residents.
  • Assist residents with moving furniture, as required.
  • Respond to building emergencies appropriately.
  • Upkeep of exterior building including grounds, common areas and garbage container areas.
  • Snow removal on all sidewalks, driveway, and ramps of the residence.
  • Responsible for checking and updating maintenance work orders through the applicable database.
  • Monitor environmental fire safety conditions, equipment, and alarm systems.
  • Perform minor plumbing and electrical work, painting, and patching walls as required.
  • Assist during fire drills in the residence, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Services Manager or delegate.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required mandatory training/education.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in building services with a strong background in HVAC, working with senior clientele is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to perform janitorial duties, renovations, repairs, minor plumbing/electrical work, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
