About Us

The Post Secondary Employers' Association (PSEA) is a leading provider of labour relations and human resource services to the public post-secondary sector. Our association supports 19 institutions throughout the province, promoting industry best practices and progressive initiatives.

We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will provide administrative and coordinating support to all PSEA staff, utilizing their expertise in records management, financial tasks, and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of a records management system, ensuring seamless access to historical documents.
  • Support various financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable filing, visa reconciliation, and expense tracking.
  • Coordinate logistics for board and committee meetings, taking meeting minutes as needed.
  • Research and order office materials, furniture, and supplies, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
  • Edit, format, and proofread documents using word processing and presentation software.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in human resources, post-secondary, or legal workplaces is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong grammar knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse contacts, exercising judgment in providing information and assistance.
  • Prior experience with online content, records management, and/or association management systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and normal office practices, procedures, and technology.

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for this position is $44,985 to $54,593 per year, depending on experience and number of hours worked. As a part-time employee, you will have the flexibility to allocate your 20-25 hours per week over 3 to 5 days, allowing you to balance your personal and professional life.
