Job Title: Farm Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Loleaf Farm. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring the efficient and effective management of our livestock and crop production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to maintain optimal crop growth and livestock grazing areas.
  • Diagnose and treat livestock health issues to ensure the well-being of our animals.
  • Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities to promote healthy plant growth and maximize yields.
  • Direct farm feed inventory activities to ensure accurate tracking and management of feed supplies.
  • Mark livestock as proof of ownership to maintain accurate records and prevent theft.
  • Mix fertilizer to promote healthy plant growth and maximize yields.
  • Monitor the calving process to ensure the health and well-being of our livestock.
  • Monitor animal health to identify and address any potential health issues.
  • Oversee the activities of clearing the fields to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Perform animal grooming activities to maintain the health and well-being of our livestock.
  • Perform livestock feeding to ensure the nutritional needs of our animals are met.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy plant growth and maximize yields.
  • Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly and efficiently.
  • Track and report on current feed inventory to ensure accurate management of feed supplies.
  • Treat livestock health issues to ensure the well-being of our animals.
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy plant growth and maximize yields.
  • Harvest crops to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Feed and tend animals to maintain their health and well-being.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain financial and production records to ensure accurate tracking and management of farm operations.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Maintain livestock performance records to ensure accurate tracking and management of farm operations.
  • Maintain quality control and production records to ensure accurate tracking and management of farm operations.
  • Milk cows to ensure efficient and effective milk production.
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Maintain work records and logs to ensure accurate tracking and management of farm operations.
  • Perform general farm duties to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure timely and efficient production.
