Job Title: Farm Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Loleaf Farm. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and maintaining the highest standards of crop production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to ensure optimal crop growth
  • Diagnose and treat livestock health issues to prevent disease and promote well-being
  • Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities to maximize yields
  • Direct farm feed inventory activities to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Mark livestock as proof of ownership to maintain accurate records
  • Mix and apply fertilizer to promote healthy crop growth
  • Monitor the calving process to ensure the health and well-being of newborn animals
  • Monitor animal health to identify potential issues and take corrective action
  • Oversee the activities of clearing the fields to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Perform animal grooming activities to maintain the health and well-being of our livestock
  • Perform livestock feeding and care activities to ensure the health and well-being of our animals
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to maximize yields
  • Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly and efficiently
  • Track and report on current feed inventory to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Treat livestock health issues to prevent disease and promote well-being
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth
  • Harvest crops to maximize yields
  • Feed and tend animals to ensure their health and well-being
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain financial and production records to ensure accurate tracking of farm operations
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Maintain livestock performance records to ensure accurate tracking of farm operations
  • Maintain quality control and production records to ensure high standards of crop production
  • Milk cows to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a safe and healthy working environment
  • Maintain work records and logs to ensure accurate tracking of farm operations
  • Perform general farm duties to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure high standards of crop production
  • Operate machinery to ensure efficient use of resources
Supervision:
  • Supervise 3-4 people to ensure efficient use of resources
