About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Jeanette Parker & Robert Dale Parker. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Care for Pets: Provide love and attention to our clients' pets, ensuring they receive the care and companionship they need.
  • Administer Bedside and Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to clients as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
  • Assist Clients in Water: Accompany clients to the pool or other water-based activities, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Assist Clients with Bathing and Personal Hygiene: Help clients maintain their personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Assist in Regular Exercise: Engage in physical activities with clients, such as walking or other exercises, to promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Change Non-Sterile Dressings: Assist clients with changing their dressings, ensuring their wounds are properly cared for.
  • Collect Specimens: Collect specimens from clients as required by their healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrate Infant Care: Teach new parents essential infant care skills, such as feeding and bathing.
  • Feed or Assist in Feeding: Prepare and serve meals to clients, or assist them with feeding if needed.
  • Launder Clothing and Household Linens: Wash and clean clients' clothing and household linens.
  • Mend Clothing and Linens: Repair torn or damaged clothing and linens.
  • Perform Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Plan Therapeutic Diets and Menus: Work with clients to develop personalized meal plans that meet their nutritional needs.
  • Provide Companionship: Spend quality time with clients, engaging in activities and conversations that promote their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Shop for Food and Household Supplies: Purchase groceries and household essentials for clients.
  • Prepare and Serve Nutritious Meals: Cook and serve healthy meals to clients.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, and Walking: Spend time sitting, standing, and walking while performing tasks.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform tasks that require repetition, such as laundry or cleaning.
  • Sitting: Spend time sitting while performing tasks, such as reading or watching TV with clients.
