About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Jeanette Parker & Robert Dale Parker. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for Pets: Provide love and attention to our clients' pets, ensuring they receive the care and companionship they need.
  • Administer Bedside and Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to clients as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
  • Assist with Daily Tasks: Help clients with daily tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Provide Companionship: Spend quality time with clients, engaging in activities that bring them joy and companionship.
  • Assist with Exercise and Physical Activity: Accompany clients on walks or engage in other physical activities to promote their health and well-being.
  • Collect Specimens: Collect specimens for medical testing as required.
  • Demonstrate Infant Care: Teach new parents essential infant care skills.
  • Feed and Assist with Feeding: Assist clients with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Perform Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Plan Therapeutic Diets and Menus: Assist clients with meal planning and preparation to promote their health and well-being.
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a non-smoking environment, providing care and support to clients in their own homes. You may be required to work in a variety of settings, including the client's home, community centers, or other locations as needed.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.

  • Paramedical Services Coverage: We offer paramedical services coverage to support the health and well-being of our clients.
  • Temporary Work Term: This is a temporary work term position, with a maximum duration of 12 months.
  • 40 Hours per Week: You will work 40 hours per week, with a regular schedule and occasional overtime as needed.
