We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Benefits Supervisor to join our People and Culture team at our Head Office in Mississauga, ON.

As a trusted member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of payroll, benefits, and pension administration for all employees across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the bi-weekly payroll process, including timekeeping activities and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies.
  • Provide exceptional client service to employees, responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Offer guidance to staff on functional, procedural, and technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal and provincial legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Administer benefits and retirement plans for employees.
  • Maintain payroll and benefits policies, documenting workflows for enhanced controls and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team to maintain accurate employee records and support objectives that foster a positive employee experience.
  • Assist with disability management and workers' compensation claims processes.

Requirements:

  • PC or CPM certification required.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • 5 years of experience processing multi-provincial payroll.
  • Experience with Dayforce Payroll, Onboarding, and HR modules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Tech-savvy, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset.
