Talent Acquisition Business Partner

We're seeking a seasoned Recruiter to join our dynamic HR team at EPCOR in Edmonton, AB.
This is a Full Time Permanent role that requires a strategic and problem-solving mindset to identify and resolve complex sourcing issues. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with hiring managers to develop proactive recruitment strategies, utilizing a range of tools and platforms to attract top-tier talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership: Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Talent Sourcing: Utilize job boards, social media, networking, and industry events to attract top talent, with a focus on building a robust and diverse talent pipeline.
- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process, from job postings to extending offers, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires and hiring managers.
- Talent Pipeline: Develop and maintain a diverse talent pipeline in engineering, trades, and operations to meet future hiring needs.
- Union Relations: Maintain effective communication and relationships with union representatives regarding recruitment and hiring.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
- ATS Management: Utilize applicant tracking systems to manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate recruitment records.
- Outreach Initiatives: Coordinate and participate in job fairs, campus recruitment events, and other outreach activities to attract talent.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to hiring managers and stakeholders on recruitment progress and challenges.
- Mentorship: Mentor and coach hiring managers and stakeholders on recruitment processes and best practices.
- Candidate Experience: Deliver exceptional candidate experiences throughout the recruitment process.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Recruitment Experience: At least 5-7 years of recruitment experience, ideally within a corporate/operational environment.
- Recruitment Governance Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment.
- Strategic Recruitment: Experience in conducting recruitment market research and developing effective recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
- Professional Certification: Certification in HR or Recruitment is an asset.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems for recruitment and reporting.
- Innovative Sourcing: Ability to think creatively and utilize non-traditional avenues to attract talent.
