We're seeking a seasoned Recruiter to join our dynamic HR team at EPCOR in Edmonton, AB.

This is a Full Time Permanent role that requires a strategic and problem-solving mindset to identify and resolve complex sourcing issues. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with hiring managers to develop proactive recruitment strategies, utilizing a range of tools and platforms to attract top-tier talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Talent Sourcing: Utilize job boards, social media, networking, and industry events to attract top talent, with a focus on building a robust and diverse talent pipeline.
  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process, from job postings to extending offers, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires and hiring managers.
  • Talent Pipeline: Develop and maintain a diverse talent pipeline in engineering, trades, and operations to meet future hiring needs.
  • Union Relations: Maintain effective communication and relationships with union representatives regarding recruitment and hiring.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • ATS Management: Utilize applicant tracking systems to manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate recruitment records.
  • Outreach Initiatives: Coordinate and participate in job fairs, campus recruitment events, and other outreach activities to attract talent.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to hiring managers and stakeholders on recruitment progress and challenges.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach hiring managers and stakeholders on recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Candidate Experience: Deliver exceptional candidate experiences throughout the recruitment process.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Recruitment Experience: At least 5-7 years of recruitment experience, ideally within a corporate/operational environment.
  • Recruitment Governance Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment.
  • Strategic Recruitment: Experience in conducting recruitment market research and developing effective recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Professional Certification: Certification in HR or Recruitment is an asset.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems for recruitment and reporting.
  • Innovative Sourcing: Ability to think creatively and utilize non-traditional avenues to attract talent.
