About the Role:

As a Team Lead, Talent Acquisition, you will play a key role in developing and executing industry-leading recruitment strategies to enable NorQuest College to hire the best possible candidates.  This position is responsible for providing proactive full-cycle recruiting support, leading a team of Talent Acquisition professionals, and ensuring the implementation of development plans to continue to grow competencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

NorQuesters are difference makers, and we're searching for someone dedicated to making a difference to join People & Culture as a Team Lead, Talent Acquisition.  Reporting to the Manager, People, the Team Lead, Talent Acquisition plays a key role in enabling NorQuest College to hire the best possible candidates by developing and executing industry-leading recruitment strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute industry-leading recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Lead a team of Talent Acquisition professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to ensure the growth and success of the team.
  • Provide proactive full-cycle recruiting support, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand recruitment needs and develop effective recruitment plans.
  • Manage and maintain talent pipelines, ensuring a diverse and inclusive pool of candidates for future staffing needs.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance Talent Acquisition supports and services, including the use of technology to streamline processes and improve candidate experiences.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team members on best practices, internal processes, and legislative requirements.

YOU WILL SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:

  • Have a strong background in recruitment, with a minimum of 5 years' experience providing proactive full-cycle recruiting support.
  • Have at least 2 years' experience leading a team of recruitment professionals.
  • possess strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Have a strong understanding of recruitment systems and technology, with experience in using tools such as Acuity, Success Factors, and PeopleSoft.
  • Are able to maintain a strong professional network, with the ability to share and learn about emerging recruitment practices and trends.
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders.
