About the Role

The Vice President, People and Culture is a strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with NorQuest College's mission and values. This role will provide visionary leadership to the People and Culture team, driving organizational culture, employee engagement, and exceptional employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a people strategy that supports NorQuest's mission and values
  • Lead the People and Culture team to deliver exceptional employee experiences and drive organizational culture
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leaders and the Executive team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that support employee engagement and retention
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to support people-related initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in human resources and organizational development
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior human resources position
  • At least 5 years of senior management experience in a complex, multi-disciplinary organization
  • Experience in labour relations, including collective bargaining, and managing collective agreements
  • Experience working in a post-secondary environment or complex public sector environment
  • University degree in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation
