Vice President of People and Culture

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Vice President, People and Culture. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of human resources at NorQuest College and contribute to the organization's mission to transform lives and create a sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the workforce of the future, aligned with NorQuest's values and purpose.
- Lead the People and Culture team to deliver exceptional employee experiences and achieve organizational outcomes through proactive, collaborative, and service-oriented partnership and support.
- Provide oversight of the People and Culture portfolio, ensuring alignment with NorQuest's values and purpose.
- Establish service level standards for People and Culture and determine workforce readiness and service level statistics that are benchmarked from other organizations.
- Host town hall meetings with all NorQuest College employees and envision how NorQuest's People and Culture programs will keep current with global trends and lead in the areas of culture, workstyles, employee engagement, and ED&I.
- Cultivate trusted and collaborative working relationships with VP-level colleagues and gain an understanding of their work.
- Nurture and maintain connections with counterparts across the post-secondary sector.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior human resource position with at least 5 years of senior management experience within a complex, multi-disciplinary, and evolving organization.
- Experience in labour relations, including collective bargaining, and managing the administration of collective agreements within a complex union environment is desirable.
- Experience working in a post-secondary environment and/or a complex public sector environment is preferred.
- A university degree in Human Resources or equivalent (though a master's degree in a related field is an asset) and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is required.
