About the Role

The Vice President, People and Culture is a key leadership position at NorQuest College, responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance the college's culture, talent management, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Lead the development of organizational culture and engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leaders on HR-related matters, including labour relations and collective bargaining.
  • Collaborate with the Executive team to develop and implement organizational change initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to support HR initiatives and programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including HR associations, industry partners, and community organizations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior human resources position, with at least 5 years of senior management experience in a complex, multi-disciplinary organization.
  • Experience in labour relations, including collective bargaining, and managing the administration of collective agreements within a complex union environment is desirable.
  • Experience working in a post-secondary environment and/or a complex public sector environment is preferred.
  • University degree in Human Resources or equivalent, and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is required.
