Food Service Team Lead

About the Role:

This is a permanent position with a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

The Food Service Team Lead will also be responsible for estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and preparing budget and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure

Work Environment:

The Food Service Team Lead will be working in a restaurant environment with a moderate noise level and may be exposed to hot temperatures and odors. The work schedule will be 40 hours per week.
