Description:

At Hundseth Power Line Construction (HPL), we are seeking a skilled Power Line Technician to join our team in Regina. This role involves performing a variety of assignments related to the installation, construction, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution, transmission lines, switching stations, substations, communication networks, streetlight facilities, and infrastructure.The successful candidate will operate a range of hand and power tools and equipment, including backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and digger derrick trucks, among others.Adherence to all safety procedures on the job site is paramount, and any violations must be immediately reported to the foreman.

Requirements:

Mandatory: A valid Journeyman or Apprentice Power Line Technician Trade card from the Saskatchewan Trades & Apprenticeship Commission or a Canadian Interprovincial Red seal certification.A valid Class 1A or Class 5 license (clear driving abstract) is required, with Class 1A preferred.Previous experience operating the mentioned equipment would be considered an asset.The ability to travel extensively across Saskatchewan is essential.Lifting heavy tools and equipment over 50 pounds is a requirement.A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.This position is considered safety-sensitive, and all new hires will be required to complete a pre-employment/pre-access medical test, including drug and alcohol screening, and hearing assessments.
