We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing services to residents, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, medical professionals, and support staff to deliver exceptional care.
- Assess and evaluate resident needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Direct and supervise other nurses, students, and support staff in the delivery of resident care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and develop strategies for improvement.
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
- Three (3) years of current clinical experience in gerontology, or a combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an approved nursing educational program.
- Ability to prioritize care for individual residents and groups, delegate care appropriately, and monitor outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, maintain concentration in a fast-paced environment, and function in a demanding and stressful environment.
- Must be flexible and able to work in a rapidly changing internal and external environment.
- May be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
- May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals, and be exposed to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, blood, feces, and body fluids.
