Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to residents with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify resident needs and develop strategies for care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Monitor resident health and report any changes or concerns to the team.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure resident needs are met.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Three years of current clinical experience in gerontology, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to prioritize care for individual residents and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.

A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
