Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to residents, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary resident care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor residents' responses to these interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal resident outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Three (3) years of current clinical experience in gerontology, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate of an approved nursing educational program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual resident to a group of residents.
  • Ability to delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
