Job Title: Controller

College of the Rockies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the College's accounting function and providing financial and operations management support to the Vice President Finance, Deans, Directors, and other College management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the institution-wide maintenance and implementation of the Colleague Finance Module, the College's integrated management information system.
  • Provide financial and operations management support to the Vice President Finance, Deans, Directors, and other College management.
  • Develop and implement financial and operational policies and procedures.
  • Manage and supervise a team of accounting and financial staff.
Requirements:
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or CA) and a minimum of five years of experience in a variety of financial service functions, preferably in a college or an educational environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of PSAB accounting standards.
  • Experience in developing and/or implementing information systems (preferably Colleague) is an asset.
