Job Title: Controller

College of the Rockies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the College's accounting function and providing financial and operations management support to our leadership team.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to make a meaningful contribution to our institution. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and operations management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the College's accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Provide financial and operations management support to the Vice President Finance, Deans, Directors, and other College management.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with PSAB accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial management and decision-making.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a variety of financial service functions, preferably in a college or educational environment.
  • An Accounting designation and thorough knowledge of PSAB accounting standards.
  • Experience in developing and implementing information systems, preferably Colleague.
