Executive Chef Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Eddie Burger + Bar. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production.
- Estimate food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff.
- Supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Recruit and hire staff.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
