Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Royal Canadian Lodge Banff (InnVest Hotels LP). As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and other kitchen workers.
  • Estimate food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and recipes to enhance the culinary experience for our guests.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
