Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Developmental Disabilities Program Evaluator to join our team at the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing Medicaid services to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations. Your expertise in program evaluation and monitoring will be essential in protecting client rights and ensuring the effectiveness of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations and monitoring of programs in residential living areas to ensure adherence to ICF/IID and Medicaid Community Rule standards.
  • Review and oversee habilitative plans and programs through observations, surveys, and audits.
  • Provide consultation and instruction to facility staff and assist program units in methods of programming and self-evaluation.
  • Serve as Administrator during evenings and weekends in the absence of the facility head and other charge administrators.
  • Assist in the development, planning, and reviewing of residential service delivery systems, plans, procedures, and policies.

Requirements
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field.
  • Six months experience in program evaluation, including evaluating programs and services to identify problems, determine compliance, and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Three years experience in health or human services work, including applying theories, principles, laws, and practices of health or human services programs and services.
  • Interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Narrative report writing.
  • Staff supervision, including planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others.
