At REAL Residence Inc, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to join our team. This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering 40 hours of work per week.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who can provide personalized support and care to our residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social well-being. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing companionship and promoting independence.

Responsibilities:
  • Administering bedside and personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assisting residents with medication administration and other health-related tasks.
  • Providing transportation and accompaniment to appointments and outings.
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry and light housekeeping duties.
  • Participating in recreational activities and programs designed to promote socialization and engagement.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in caregiving or a related field.
  • CPR Certificate and willingness to obtain any additional certifications required by the province.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., nursing, gerontology).
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive equipment.
