Electrical Estimator/Senior Estimator

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost estimation and planning services to our clients. Your primary focus will be on preparing and presenting detailed cost plans, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and reliable cost information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present comprehensive cost plans for commercial, institutional, and residential projects across Canada.
  • Manage estimating and cost planning activities, taking ownership of the final cost plan and presenting it to clients.
  • Ensure effective cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work is conducted.
  • Participate in value engineering, LEED analysis, and life cycle costing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients and other consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Prepare detailed mechanical and electrical cost estimates for various asset classes and design levels.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and report them to the relevant line manager.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Navisworks, and/or other relevant software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procurement methods.
  • Experience in advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Experience in business development and key aspects of the industry.
  • Good knowledge and experience gained within multiple industry sectors.
Education/Experience:
  • Experience in preparing electrical cost estimates for complex construction projects.
  • Experience in managing electrical cost or estimating for data center, high-tech, manufacturing, commercial real estate, or related construction projects.
  • Construction experience with electrical systems.
  • Experience with all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) a plus.
