Electrical Estimator/Senior Estimator

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost estimation and planning services to our clients. Your primary focus will be on preparing and presenting detailed cost plans, as well as managing estimating and cost planning activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present comprehensive cost plans for commercial, institutional, and residential projects across Canada.
  • Prepare and manage construction cost estimates at all stages of design.
  • Take ownership of and present the final cost plan, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Participate in value engineering, LEED analysis, and life cycle costing to optimize project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clients and other consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare mechanical and electrical cost estimates for various asset classes and design levels.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and report to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Navisworks, and/or other relevant software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procurement methods and industry standards.
  • Experience in advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of multiple industry sectors and their specific requirements.
Education/Experience:
  • Proven experience in preparing electrical cost estimates for complex construction projects.
  • Experience managing electrical cost or estimating for data center, high-tech, manufacturing, commercial real estate, or related construction projects.
  • Construction experience with electrical systems and knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) principles.
