At MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual, we are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Lead to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

As a Culinary Team Lead, you will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, and that our kitchen is clean and well-organized. You will also be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment, and for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
