Job Title: Head Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Board 'n' Barrel Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure that all ingredients are used efficiently.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Cost Control: Manage food costs to ensure that they are within budget.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with standing for extended periods.
