We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in Halifax. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex infrastructure projects and developing business growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement business growth strategies in Halifax, New Brunswick, and the Atlantic regions.
  2. Promote RVA's services across Eastern Canada, focusing on Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
  3. Manage administrative duties, including financial and staff management, staff development, and mentoring.
  4. Lead marketing and proposal efforts.
  5. Prepare and review reports.
  6. Conduct conceptual design and quality assurance reviews for road reconstruction, stormwater projects, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, grading, and other infrastructure projects.
  7. Collaborate with civil engineers and project team members on integrated projects.
  8. Manage municipal engineering projects, including scope, schedule, and budget, and maintain client relationships.
  9. Prepare and coordinate approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents, and reports.
  10. Prepare and edit AutoCAD and Civil 3D design drawings as required.
  11. Provide engineering and contract administration support for municipal projects, including site development, roads, watermains, sanitary and storm sewer systems.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized institution.
  2. Licensed P. Eng. with 15+ years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, including at least 10 years in a consultancy.
  3. Project management (PMP) designation is an asset.
  4. Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
  5. Experience with meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development, and other relevant skills.
  6. Proven capabilities in writing reports and technical documents.
  7. Demonstrated superior English communication skills, both oral and written.
  8. Valid driver's license.
