Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer Technician to join our team in Bedford, NS. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing production electronic equipment and systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to engineers and scientists on moderately complex components, devices, materials, products, processes, and/or equipment
  • Responsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies
  • Apply electronic theory, principles of electrical circuits, testing procedures, and related knowledge to test and troubleshoot production electronic equipment
  • Utilize test equipment to perform functional, operational, and environmental tests on equipment to established criteria to determine acceptability
  • Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for repair and diagnostic information
  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on products and document results

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possession of an Electronics Technician Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related work experience within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic equipment
  • Experience reading schematics and engineering specs
  • Must have technical competency and good manual dexterity
