Basketball Team Coach Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Basketball Team Coach to join our team at JR Basketball Training Lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Education: Develop and implement training programs for coaches and athletes.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in basketball coaching and team management.
  • Tasks:
    • Carry out management duties, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating team performance.
    • Develop well-planned competitive schedules and programs.
    • Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games.
    • Analyze and evaluate athletes' or team's performance.
    • Present materials at conferences or symposia.
  • Area of Specialization: Teacher training or certification.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, and support their social and labour market integration.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities and organizations.

Requirements:

  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
