About Our Organization

We are a leading recruitment agency with expertise in placing professionals in the construction industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Warranty Administrator to join our client, an established developer/builder dedicated to low and mid-rise residential building projects across Ontario and Western Canada.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the Construction Manager on all aspects of warranty administration.
  • Scheduling service appointments to control customer experience.
  • Responding to calls and emails during regular business hours and ensuring follow-up and resolution for customers, trade associates, and the warranty team.
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments with homeowners, Tarion inspectors, service technicians, and trades.
  • Maintaining good relations and communication between all stakeholders.
  • Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) with site construction teams.
  • Ensuring warranty forms are completed within deadlines.
  • Monitoring warranty forms through the Tarion Builder Link portal daily.
  • Preparing service documents for the department and service use.
  • Explaining warranty policies and procedures.
  • Inputting and tracking warranty activities in software systems to enable accurate data review.
  • Creating and maintaining tracking lists to manage warranty staff and trade performance as well as overall warranty performance.
  • Preparing forms required for PDIs, such as Certificates of Completion and Possession.
  • Visiting sites and proactively following up with homeowners and trades.
  • Reporting to the Construction Manager on identifying potential issues and resolving problems.

What You'll Need

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree.
  • Minimum 3 years equivalent work experience with a developer in the customer service field.
  • Knowledge of the building industry and company operations.
  • Expertise in Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines, including all updates.
  • Sound knowledge of Tarion deadlines for warranties.
  • Great knowledge of the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel and/or commute to sites.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with experience, estimated to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and location.
