About the Role

Caspian Drywall Inc. is seeking a skilled Home Building Contractor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and execution of new residential home building and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project schedules, timelines, and budgets
    • Coordinate with trade subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Inspect work in progress to ensure quality and conformity to plans and specifications
    • Identify and address any quality control issues promptly
  • Business Development and Marketing
    • Develop and implement marketing and advertising strategies to promote our services
    • Build relationships with customers, architects, and engineers to secure new business opportunities
  • Human Resources and Operations
    • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers as needed
    • Develop and implement business plans, financial plans, and operating plans
  • Health and Safety
    • Develop and implement health and safety plans to ensure a safe working environment
    • Monitor and report on health and safety incidents and near-misses
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in residential construction or a related field
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced construction environment and may be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
