Job Title: Residential Construction Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Construction Supervisor to join our team at Saab Uppal Construction Inc.

Job Summary:

The Residential Construction Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key leadership role that requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to motivate and manage a team of construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including carpenters, labourers, and other tradespeople.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor and control costs, including materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement construction schedules and timelines.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet design and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is progressing as planned.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in residential construction, including supervisory or management experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as construction management or a related trade.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Project.
