Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Allamani Technical Solutions Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks. This includes inspecting and testing cable signals, diagnosing and locating equipment faults, and completing test and service reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment and networks
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Determine nature, cause and location of trouble
  • Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
  • Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
  • Determine work assignments
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel
