Assistant Property Manager Role

At BentallGreenOak, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support our commercial property management activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with accounting staff, tenants, building operators, and contractors to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular building, common areas, and vacant space inspections, documenting findings accordingly.
  • Oversee tenant surveys, analyzing trends and concerns, and communicating results to tenants.
  • Monitor and follow up on tenant maintenance requests to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Assist with tenant events and tenant appreciation initiatives as directed.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including ForeverGreen, BOMA BEST, and Fitwel Viral Response building certifications.
  • Prepare annual budgets, manage property budgets, and review invoices for timely payments.
  • Prepare monthly owners reports, including financial statements and variance reports.

Requirements:

  • University degree or diploma in a related field (marketing, public relations, advertising, or business administration).
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a commercial real estate environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media strategy, with experience in developing or overseeing web-based content.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to develop and sustain productive relationships.
  • Aptitude with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web development, social media applications, and graphic/publisher programs.
  • Ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure, and manage tight deadlines.
