We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Penticton Regional Hospital. Located in the heart of the South Okanagan, Penticton offers a unique blend of natural beauty and urban amenities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality mental health care services to patients in our region. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Role

This role will involve working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with mental health conditions. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in adult and child psychiatry, while contributing to the well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions in adults and children
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License - Provisional and Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

In addition to a competitive salary and benefits package, we offer relocation funding of $9,000 to $15,000 to support your move to Penticton. Part-time opportunities may be eligible for pro-rated reimbursement.

Our Facility

The Penticton Regional Hospital is a 158-bed acute care facility that provides core medical and surgical specialty services to a surrounding population of approximately 90,000 people. Our hospital features on-site Computed Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, and Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI), as well as a seven-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
