About the Role:
The Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients with acute mental health challenges. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote patient recovery and well-being.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive work environment that promotes patient-centered care.

About the Unit:
The 16-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Interior Health Authority provides acute mental health and substance use services for the South Okanagan region. Our unit is a safe, secure, and accessible facility that strives for the highest professional standards of care. We work closely with community and tertiary mental health services to provide a continuum of care for our patients.
