Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Management Lead to join our team at Farm Boy Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario.

About the Role

This is a management-level position responsible for assisting the Department Manager in achieving company goals and objectives. The successful candidate will provide superior customer service, develop and support the training of team members, and effectively communicate with the team on product knowledge, corporate policies, and health and safety protocols.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support Farm Boy's vision of delivering the best fresh shopping experience.
  • Assist in developing the team by supporting training, coaching, and recognition while maintaining confidentiality and trust.
  • Effectively communicate and support the team through huddles, product knowledge, corporate policies, and health and safety protocols.
  • Perform floor support and supervision, including serving customers, merchandising, and rotation, as well as ensuring general department cleanliness.
  • Support office management tasks such as inventory, orders, invoices, scheduling, and payroll.
  • May be required to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.
Qualifications
  • A post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • A clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities when interacting with customers and team members.
  • The ability to learn manual and automated systems/tools.
  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and performance.
  • A flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English and French is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Providing service to multiple people or departments under simultaneous deadlines.
  • Required to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Required to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
Estimated Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
