About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Manager to join our Claims Insights and Solutions team within Finance. As a key member of our team, you will work in a dynamic environment and gain exposure across a broad spectrum of actuarial and data science disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Build, clean, transform, and analyze operational Claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement, tying financial results to optimize claims operations and influence Claims initiatives.
  • Workflow Automation: Automate workflow in our data science platform to increase efficiency and ensure accuracy.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis by benchmarking our performance against the industry and identify areas where we can gain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building: Collaborate and build close relationships with company-wide partners in various departments, including Claims, Corporate Actuarial, Pricing, Data Science, Underwriting, and Risk.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of full-time actuarial experience.
  • Actuarial Exams: Actively pursuing actuarial exams and successfully passing Exam 5 is an asset.
  • Skills: Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments, and strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of Python, SQL, SAS, and MS Excel.
