Energy Conservation Engineer

Hydro Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled Energy Conservation Engineer to join our Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across our customer base.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve energy savings and reduce peak demand.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to identify energy efficiency opportunities and develop customized solutions.
- Conduct site assessments and provide technical expertise to customers on energy-efficient technologies and practices.
- Track and quantify energy savings, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver energy efficiency programs and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and industry partners to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality energy efficiency solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in the Province of Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electricity utilization, energy management, and building systems.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies, electrical metering, load profiling, and analyzing electricity rate impacts.
- Experience in site investigations, report writing, construction review, specification writing, and commissioning of building systems.
- Advanced Energy Training considered an asset (CEM, CMVP, or similar).
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Google suite of products.
- English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset.
