Job Summary

Hydro Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled CDM Energy Conservation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) team, you will play a critical role in helping our customers reduce energy consumption and manage electricity costs while meeting system needs and government objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement energy conservation strategies and programs to help customers reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to identify energy efficiency opportunities and develop solutions to address them.
  • Conduct site assessments and provide recommendations for energy-efficient technologies and practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and deliver CDM programs and services.
  • Track and quantify energy savings and report on program results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders to promote energy efficiency and conservation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in energy efficiency and conservation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in the Province of Ontario.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in energy management, building systems, and energy efficiency.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
