About the Role

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced medical writer who can lead complex projects and mentor junior writers. As Senior Clinical Writing Lead, you'll represent the Medical Writing department on clinical study teams, advise clients and study teams on data presentation and production strategies, and develop good working relationships with internal and external colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and lead less experienced medical writers on complex projects.
  • Represent the Medical Writing department on clinical study teams, conferences, meetings, and presentations to clients.
  • Advise clients and study teams on data presentation and production strategies.
  • Develop and manage medical writing activities associated with individual studies, coordinating activities within and across departments.
  • Develop or support various documents, including clinical study protocols, reports, patient narratives, development plans, IND submissions, integrated summary reports, NDA submissions, and clinical journal manuscripts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree with relevant writing experience or Bachelor of Arts degree (Social Sciences, English, or Communications) with scientific and/or medical knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge of English grammar, FDA and ICH regulations, and AMA style guide.
  • Demonstrated independence, effective presentation, proofreading, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and Internet.
  • Ability to interpret and present clinical data and other complex information.
