Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Home Support team at Bella Coola General Hospital, Bella Coola, BC.

About the Role

As a Community Health Nurse, you will provide a full continuum of public health, prevention and health promotion services to enhance the optimal health, well-being and safety of clients by identifying and prioritizing wellness needs and developing and maintaining community partnerships to provide health promotion, advocacy, counseling, education, assessment, referral and intervention in a variety of community based settings in the rural remote setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive public health nursing services to clients in the community
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote health and well-being
  • Conduct assessments and develop plans to address the health needs of clients
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients

Qualifications

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Training in public health nursing, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License
