Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Home Support team at Bella Coola General Hospital. This position will provide a full continuum of public health, prevention, and health promotion services to enhance the optimal health, well-being, and safety of clients.

About the Role

This role involves providing a variety of community-based services, including health promotion, advocacy, counseling, education, assessment, referral, and intervention. The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and practice of public health nursing theory, as well as the ability to work independently and interdependently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide public health services to enhance the optimal health, well-being, and safety of clients.
  • Develop and maintain community partnerships to provide health promotion, advocacy, counseling, education, assessment, referral, and intervention services.
  • Work independently and interdependently to prioritize wellness needs and make sound nursing practice decisions.

Requirements

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Training in public health nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
