Job Title: Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer

This role is part of our Product team, responsible for ensuring the swift and valuable delivery of software changes to our customers. As a Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer, you'll work closely with our Software Engineers to provide efficient and reliable cloud infrastructure support.

About the Job

We operate fully in the Azure cloud environment, deploying to our customer-facing production environment 10 or more times per week during business hours. Our speed of delivery allows us maximum agility in our development process. The role involves supporting 27 production pipelines and 15 additional pre-production pipelines, with a focus on scalability, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve our deployment processes, ensuring efficient delivery of software changes
  • Design and implement pipelines for new technologies, expanding our cloud infrastructure
  • Support existing cloud infrastructure, ensuring security and reliability
  • Monitor and improve application performance, utilizing performance tools
  • Provide automation support to the Product teams, introducing standard methodologies and process improvements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • 8+ years of professional experience working with CI/CD pipelines on any platform (GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure-Devops)
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C#, Java, Python, Go, Javascript) and scripting languages (Bash, Python, Powershell)
  • Empathy for the end user and a desire to measure work by customer value and technical quality
  • Bias for action, tempered with consideration of implications
  • Enthusiasm for field development and improvement outside the day-to-day job
