Critical Care Flight Nurse

About Ambulance New Brunswick Inc.
We are a provincial ambulance service provider, responding to medical emergencies through the 911 system and transporting patients to hospital by ambulance. Our team consists of emergency medical dispatchers, paramedics, and critical care flight nurses who respond with their best in challenging situations.
As a critical care flight nurse with our air ambulance service, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of people in need. You will be part of a unique out-of-hospital environment, practicing autonomously within the scope of practice and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for caring for critically ill or injured pediatric and adult patients during air medical transport.
- You will practice collaboratively with members of the air medical crew, medical control physicians, paramedics, communications specialists, pilots, and other personnel.
- You will possess a minimum 3 years' experience caring for critically ill or injured patients, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- You will be able to successfully complete required flight training, including flight physiology, flight safety, and land and sea survival training.
Requirements:
- A minimum 3 years' experience caring for critically ill or injured patients; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
- Previous experience in flight nursing or transport nursing duties (an asset);
- Successful completion of required flight training;
- Willingness to work rotating 12 hour shifts;
- Written & Spoken competency in English, and spoken competency in French.
