Geriatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Geriatric Care Specialist to join our team at Spencer House. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality resident care and ensuring their well-being.
About the Role:This is a full-time position until May 2026 with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be working closely with our Director of Care and interdisciplinary team to assess and plan resident needs, deliver skilled procedures, and provide medication administration and documentation.
Responsibilities:- Assess and plan resident needs, ensuring delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
- Collaborate with residents or their substitute decision makers to understand their needs, preferences, and health status
- Create, develop, and evaluate plans of care, goals of care with the resident or their substitute decision maker
- Demonstrate a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse or the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Knowledgeable with nursing process, developments, and current trends in the geriatric care field
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
- A competitive salary range of $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
