Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at The Drake. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the exceptional cleanliness of our hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house non-kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Housekeeping Operations: Direct the activities of the housekeeping team to maintain and improve high cleaning standards of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and monitor staff on daily housekeeping duties, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Scheduling and Labor Management: Work with the Guest Experience Manager to create the weekly housekeeping schedule, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
  • Quality Control: Inspect guest rooms, floors, back-of-house areas, and public spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Use our maintenance reporting system to communicate with the maintenance department on repairs required in guest rooms.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend daily briefings with operations teams to share information on VIP arrivals, guest complaints, and special assignments.
  • Supply Management: Work with the Purchasing Manager to order guest room supplies and cleaning materials within outlined par levels.
  • Inventory Management: Complete monthly inventory of linens and other room-related items.
  • Hotel Security and Emergency Procedures: Adhere to the hotel's security and emergency policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a housekeeping operation as a supervisor or head housekeeper.
  • Positive guest and associate relations skills.
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel PMS system (Opera).
  • Flexible schedule to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
